As a former senior prosecutor for Los Angeles County, R.J. Dreiling handled high-profile cases involving murder, fraud, conspiracy, and kidnapping. As a defense attorney, R.J. Dreiling has represented everyone from Hollywood actors to CEOs. Since entering criminal defense, Mr. Dreiling has handled complex, high-profile matters, including the Menendez brothers case. He has frequently appeared in local, national, and international media, including the Los Angeles Times, CNN, Fox News, The Guardian, Court TV, and Entertainment Tonight.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Dreiling has focused exclusively on criminal law, beginning as a law clerk, continuing through his service as a prosecutor in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, and now as a criminal defense attorney. He has been repeatedly invited to lecture on the criminal justice system for universities, government agencies, and nonprofits throughout the county. Mr. Dreiling has tried more than 70 cases to verdict, including DUIs, felony assaults, gun and drug cases, and cold case murders. He has secured dismissals and favorable results in cases ranging from DUIs to violent felonies.

R.J. Dreiling has lived in Southern California throughout his adult life. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. While at Loyola Law School, he earned a place on the Scott Moot Court Honors Board and received Dean’s List honors for academic excellence.
